We have been in Niwot, CO, visiting our good friends Al,
Janet, and Sydney Lopez since July 24. It’s good to see them again, and we have
been keeping busy bowling, going to the movies, a concert in the park, and
eating and drinking at the local restaurants.
On Monday, July 27, we took Sydney into Rocky
Mountain National Park. We drove through the park from east to west on Trail
Ridge Road (the highest paved road in the continental United States) and came
back on the south route (I-70 and then up 93). It was quite a drive. It was 90
degrees in Niwot when we left, and we didn’t even think about it being cold in
the park. Thank goodness for the sweatshirts in the trunk of our car.
